Julie estelle: the beautiful and talented star enjoys her moment of being another person.
In a scene of her upcoming movie, this beautiful fair-skinned girl lifts a sawing ma-chine and points it to co-star Shareefa Daanish. The film which offers plenty of suspense actions opens the opportunity for Julie in trying a more daring and different character. Before, the girl who was born in 4 January 1989 had the means to stop involving in suspense flicks, moreover after the three sequels of her movie “Kuntilanak”.
“After Kuntilanak 3 was wrapped I actually didn’t want to play in suspense ghost movies anymore, because I didn’t want to be stuck in the same characteristic. But as the of-fer for “Rumah Dara” by Mo Brothers arrived, I reviewed the storyline and felt a difference. I finally decided to be engaged in this movie,” explained this girlfriend of singer Ello during the launch of her new movie.
The film “Rumah Dara” then takes on Julie and Daanish as lead-ing roles. It is in fact a film of new genre in the Indonesian film industry. The challenge to play Ladya also made Julie enthusiastic and went all the way by gaining her weight as much as 4 kilo-grams.
“Since this is my first thriller film, the preparation was a bit over-whelming. I did physical exercises, gained some weight. The shoot which was done for a complete month was pretty exhausting, but it was worth the while when I saw the outcome. The fighting scenes were also done without any stunts. The result was, after the shoot, my body had bruises all over and my ear was even bitten for real by Daanish,” told this girl who started her acting debut in the movie Alexandria.
Julie’s choice to get into the entertainment business was based by her passion to venture new things. When her older sister Cathy Sharon started appearing on television as a VJ for MTV, Julie, who was then still in school, got interested in working in the entertain-ment business too. Starting off from modeling, offers by offers then came knocking on her door. From there, Julie tried acting and found joy as she plays various characteristics.
“I love to act, because by doing it I get to be a different person. Like the time when I played Arishta in the film “Selamanya” (For-ever), in that film I played a drug addict and the research that came with it made me know more about many things, especially about the life of an addict,” the girl who recently played in a strip-lained.
To act and to play a different character becomes an enjoyment for Julie Estelle. A few weeks ago, Julie’s debut soap series where she played along with the handsome actor Chrictian Sugiono was aired in a private television station. In the series “Amanah dan Cinta”, Julie played the part of an innocent village girl who came to Jakarta for the chance of a better life. This ex girlfriend of Moreno Soeprapto got her full support from the family and boyfriend, Ello. “To date my family has always been supportive of anything I decide. When I played in the movie “Rumah Dara”, they were also behind me a hundred percent. So far there hasn’t been any protest nor complaints,” Julie added.
